Ted Viator
Landscape Architect
Ted is the owner and founder of Viator and Associates. He was born in New Iberia and graduated from New Iberia Senior High. After high school, Ted attended Louisiana State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture. He became a licensed Landscape Architect in 1980. In 1984, Ted established Viator and Associates, Inc.
Ted is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. He has received several design awards and has had his designs appear in numerous publications including Southern Living and Landscape Architecture Magazine. Ted is also a licensed florist and owns a full service floral shop in Lafayette called The Gardenaire.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Ted is also a very active member in Acadiana’s community. He is a member of the Mystic Krewe of Apollo, Acadiana C.A.R.E.S., the League for Equality, Friends United, and the Krewe of Bonaparte.
In addition to Viator and Associates, Ted also owns a flower shop and garden accessory store called The Gardenaire. The Gardenaire is a flower shop by title, but they also offer full scale event planning services. They arrange everything from dinner parties to large scale weddings and corporate events. Dan Spiller, Jr.
Associate
Dan Spiller, Jr. is a New Iberia native. He attended Louisiana State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture. After college, Dan worked at a landscape architecture firm in Austin, TX. He has been with Viator and Associates since he moved back to Lafayette in 2008.
Jenny Stelly
Associate
Jenny is from Iowa, Louisiana but has lived in Acadiana for the past five years. She graduated with a degree in Drafting and Design from Sowela Technical Community College in 2005 with a concentration in architectural drafting. Jenny has been with the firm since 2009.
Madge McLain
Office Manager
Madge has been a resident of Lafayette for thirty years. She is a graduate of USL with a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences. Madge also has thirty years experience in the retail nursery industry.
Madge is our office manager by title, but her extensive knowledge of plants and horticulture are in invaluable asset to our firm.
